This morning I was sitting at my desk contemplating which body part to use for shot number two - upper thigh, back of arm or stomach. I still have a small dark bruise about midway up my left thigh, off center to the inside from my first shot last Thursday. I am going to Mexico on vacation in a few weeks so I do not want five, one inch round bruises on my thighs in lovely shades of purple blue black green and yellow. I am ruling out arms as my arms are rather nice, smooth, tan, and I like showing them off. I am going to shoot my belly this time. I seriously doubt that my stomach will ever see the sun for the rest of my life, perhaps making it a better choice.
How did week one go? Recap.
Absolutely zero side effects other than constipation. Constipation can be expected since these meds slow the digestive movement of the stomach and intestines to allow for a more solid feeling of fullness. I took a recommendation from Lynnda Shep for Mag07 which is an oxygenated form of magnesium. I took three capsules before bed with an entire bottle of water to get things going with great morning success and now take 2 capsules each night before bed with water until my body can adjust. Situation handled.
Why is nothing bad happening to me?
The takeaway here is do not automatically jump to the conclusion that every single thing that can happen that is bad, will happen to you. As humans many things happen to us whether or not we take an injection of a weight loss drug. I did not drop my iPhone into the toilet yesterday because I am on Mounjaro. Try really hard to not manifest negativity in your life. If you believe the people in the Facebook groups, no one would ever take these drugs. Don't allow people to scare you, they are looking for online drama!
The good
The one happy side effect is I have lost 3 pounds. Which is more than my usual one week flux, so the wheels definitely have begun to turn. I am happy and cautiously optimistic. I remind myself that most do not lose weight at the lowest doses and the purpose for the lower levels is to introduce your body to the drug a bit at a time rather than in one rush of foreign substance. So don’t worry about losing pounds just yet but it helps the head.
My thumb still wont work
Back to the issue at hand. My thumb does not move to push down the button on my injection pen this week either. So I got a hand towel from my bathroom sink, grabbed an ice pack and an alcohol wipe. I turned on the TV and used the alcohol wipe on a wide area to the right of my belly button and let the ice sit on the area. Removed the grey bottom, pressed the pen against my skin, unlocked, then pressed the button. Heard the two clicks and felt nothing.
